Despite being bed ridden with the flu today, I mustered the energy to do something awesome. My goal has always been to do things that have never been done before, to push my career further than I thought was possible. I just finished a meeting with one of the biggest brands in the world and I’m now one step closer to achieving it. It’s about taking little steps towards the bigger things💪 I feel this deserves an epic throwback photo shot by the incredible @andiatherton 📸
‘Orissa your act will be based on Barbarella and you will be entering the stage in a full length sequin cape, escorted by a snow fox on a lead... who’s actually a 6 foot man in a suit. Treat him nicely’.⠀ ⠀ Yes, this really is my ‘job’ 😂 ⠀ I will definitely get a photo of my dramatic entrance next week! #Barbarella
Light on my hands.... because I got no dramas weighing me down ✌️😏
Before foot archery came into my life I was a full time aerial silks performer, it was actually my first true love. When I was 18 I performed on TV (thanks to @dusol.productions ) in front of 8 million viewers - my first ever silks performance! As I walked off stage I called my Mum and said ‘I found my calling, I want to do this for the rest of my life’. I cancelled my university application and from that moment on I became a full time performer. I never went to university, never handed in a CV and never went to a job interview. I said it, I struggled but I did it.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 📸: David C Photography⠀ Costume: @neilednie
It’s wonderful to be able to do what you love but it’s even more special when you get to do it for the people you love. So grateful to be given the opportunity to perform with purpose.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Thank you to @natyanectar for having me and the #KrishnaSpectacular team for bringing us altogether. So much love in one room! 💙
Often the littlest moments turn into the most important memories. What I would give to go back to this sunset 🧡 #CapeTown
Silks soothes the soul. Thinking of you my beautiful friend 🖤
Diamond rings? I prefer deadly things 😏🏹⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Awesome 📸 from @chrisevansphoto - check his page out!
A whole week off Instagram and I loved it! Living in the moment is becoming a rare skill these days... Spent the week running further, training harder and spending time with my family. Feeling more like me again :) I'm sorry if my replies are terrible, I'm making a conscious decision to spend less time on my phone 💆♀️⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 📸: @lisebreton working in Feria for @flipfabrique
I like to imagine that my arm gets stronger every time I wave goodbye... Another day, another flight, another city. Thank you for the memories along the way ❤⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Thinking of my friends @dtufino_photo and @tee_tufino who took this photo!⠀ Costume: @neilednie
I get asked often ‘how long did it take you to master foot archery?’ I always respond with the same answer - it took me 6 months of training every day for 6 hours to get my first successful shot but the truth is, 4 years on I still don’t feel as though I’ve ever truly ‘mastered my craft’ and I don’t think I ever will. There is always room for improvement, new tricks to create and a reason to train harder. I will forever be a student of foot archery and grateful for it. #selftaught
Just as the industry goes, my plans have changed quite dramatically and I find myself suddenly with the whole of November open. If anyone hears of gigs or contracts for this month please let me know. (State side would be ideal!)⠀ I’m determined to turn this into an opportunity for an unexpected adventure 🙏🙂🏹 ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 📸: @dtufino_photo ⠀ Costume: @sirenpolewear 💚
Here’s a bit of colour to add to a rainy day! A beauuuutiful piece of artwork created by @laurebpaintings ! I love receiving artwork but this one is definitely a favourite. Go and check her page out and comment on your favourite artwork she's created! Also her website is⠀ www.laureb.com
The last few days have been beyond wonderful. Most of us (cast) were staying in a gigantic treehouse overlooking the mountains of Utah. Every morning I would wake up at sunrise to run like a lunatic in -10 degrees, struggling with the altitude but grateful for every hill I climbed. Then by night I would be dressing up in my horror costume and performing in @circus_of_terror for Fearcon - with an entire audience of cosplay horror characters. There’s nothing quite like getting a standing ovation from Pennywise!⠀ I was not made for a normal life 🙃⠀ Thank you so much @thevampirecircus !! ⠀ Salt Lake City ✔ next stop: St Louis!
